Founder CJ in the avocado orchard

WHY I BUILT THIS PLACE

After 14 years in the healing and coaching space, I watched the same pattern repeat:

People would do the inner work. They'd show up to sessions. They'd have breakthroughs. But they couldn't sustain them.

Because their bodies were running on empty.

You can't heal a nervous system on food grown in depleted soil.

You can't sustain transformation on produce picked weeks ago.

You can't thrive on meals shipped 3,000 miles.

My own health journey taught me this the hard way: real healing requires real food—nutrient-dense, regeneratively grown, eaten in season and locally.

Then I moved to Valley Center and discovered the irony: We're surrounded by some of the richest farmland in San Diego County. Avocados, citrus, vegetables growing in abundance. But it all gets shipped out. The people who live here can't access it.

So I stopped waiting for someone else to solve it.

I bought the land. I learned regenerative farming. I built a retreat center where healing could happen in the same soil where nourishment grows.

Because transformation and regeneration aren't separate. They're necessary for each other.

— CJ Andrews, Founder

Read the story

Regenerative farming isn't just better for the environment - It's better for your body.

Plants grown in healthy, living soil produce more nutrients. Food eaten in season provides what your body needs right now. Produce grown locally retains its vitality—no 3-week shipping delays.

This isn't food philosophy. It's biology.

Every meal at Avocado Bliss starts here: in the soil we've been regenerating since 2022, growing avocados, citrus, and vegetables the way food was meant to grow, naturally.
